ATLANTIC BROADBAND ANNOUNCES FIBER MOMENTUM IN SOUTH FLORIDA AT eMERGE AMERICAS SHOW
Following acquisition of FiberLight, company continues to expand technology investment in region with high-performance fiber-optic network solutions

MIAMI, April 29, 2019 — Today at eMerge Americas, the premier technology event connecting the Americas, Atlantic Broadband, the nation’s ninth largest cable operator, announced milestone accomplishments in high-performance metro and long-haul fiber transport services. The company will highlight its high-performance fiber-optic network solutions at booth 945 at the show, which runs April 29-30 in Miami Beach, FL.

As a result of Atlantic Broadband’s acquisition of the south Florida fiber network of FiberLight, LLC in October 2018, the company added 350 route miles to its existing South Florida footprint and also has access to 3,297 buildings, potentially serving almost 6,000 customers (5,000 sq. ft. or more).

As businesses grow in connectivity and rely more heavily on internet and cloud technology to communicate with remote employees, partners and customers, it becomes essential that they have access to fast, reliable internet connections. Atlantic Broadband’s fiber networks ranging from South Miami to North Palm Beach will help connect businesses in the region to their counterparts around the country and internationally, helping to improve productivity and innovation.

“eMerge Americas is a celebration of businesses in the region and encourages thought leaders to gather and discuss how to transform Miami into a tech hub of the Americas,” said Gerry Garza, Vice President of Business Sales, Atlantic Broadband. “Today’s announcement aligns closely with the values of the conference and reflects Atlantic Broadband’s commitment and accountability to supporting enterprises and small businesses alike. We look forward to discussions about what fiber internet can offer businesses and how it empowers employees as they adopt more technology devices and require faster internet speeds.”
